5.3.0 - Naming Updates - 2026-10-13

Added

  • The naming window has a Clear Name button that removes a companion's name. It does not use up the naming item.
  • Offensive companion names are now blocked by default, including common disguises like swapped-in numbers, spaced-out letters, and stretched letters. Server owners can turn the filter or its built-in word list off, and add their own blocked and allowed words, in /tw settings under Naming.
  • Modders: the LettersNumbersSpacesPunctuation preset for AllowedChars also allows the apostrophe, hyphen, and period, for names like Mr. O'Malley.
  • /tw settings has a new Unlimited Flight Vigour option under Avatar Flight. When it is on, charged launches, upward flaps and forward boosts cost no Vigour and the Vigour pips are hidden. It is off by default.

Fixed

  • Fixed a server startup crash that could happen when Tamework set up its companion systems before the game's NPC systems were ready.
