2.0.0 - Beacon Rename - 2026-09-01

Breaking

• Renamed the runtime, standalone mod, and hosted product to Beacon. The namespace changed from com.alechilles.alecstelemetry to com.alechilles.beacon; there is no namespace compatibility layer.
• Renamed Maven and Gradle coordinates to beacon-parent, beacon-runtime, and beacon. The Maven repository is now https://beacon.modstats.io/maven/releases.
• Renamed the Hytale dependency from Alechilles:Alec's Telemetry! to Alechilles:Beacon.
• Renamed conventional descriptors from Server/Telemetry/project.json to Server/Beacon/project.json, and namespaced descriptors from META-INF/alecs-telemetry/projects/ to META-INF/beacon/projects/.
• Kept the old conventional and namespaced descriptor paths as deprecated fallbacks. The Beacon path wins when both forms are present.
• Updated embedded bootstrap imports and packaging to the Beacon namespace. Embedded consumers must still publish the runtime Common/** asset pack.
• Renamed /telemetry to /beacon and its permission prefix to beacon.command.beacon. There is no command alias.
• Changed the hosted origin to https://beacon.modstats.io. The /ingest/crash, /ingest/event, and /ingest/report route names remain.
• Kept the hosted/self project ID and public stats route alecs-telemetry so existing project history and local consent state remain attached to the same identity. The project display name is now Beacon.
• Changed the canonical local data root to mods/Alechilles_Beacon/. The first Beacon startup performs a copy-only migration from known Alec-created roots, keeps old sources, and uses Beacon destinations when both copies exist.
