A New Creator Status on Modifold: Creator Badge

We removed the old verification flow and launched Creator Badge — a new status for active and trusted mod creators.

A new step for creators on Modifold

We wanted creator status to be clear, fair, and useful for the community. So today we are moving away from blue checkmarks and introducing a new format: Creator Badge.

This is not about being "elite". It is about real contribution: publishing projects, staying active, and building trust with players.

What is Creator Badge

Creator Badge is an official status for active and trusted mod creators.

If you have the badge, it:

• highlights your profile and comments
• helps players quickly find trusted creators
• gives you better chances to appear in picks, homepage blocks, and creator support campaigns

What changed

• We removed the old blue checkmark system
• We removed manual verification moderation
• We added a new path: Settings → Creator Badge
• You can now see requirements and your progress right away

Badge requirements

To activate Creator Badge, you need to:

• Publish 3 projects
• Reach 500 total downloads across your published projects

When both requirements are met, you can activate the badge with a button in settings.

Why this approach

We want this system to be:

• transparent — clear requirements for everyone
• fast — no waiting for manual review
• fair — status is based on real creator contribution

This is a step toward a stronger ecosystem where not only mods, but also the people behind them get recognition.
