Foxtrot Minigame Released!

What is this?

This is a collection of original minigames I've made with the Trigger Volumes tool.

I've done enough game recreations that I feel confident enough to start making my own minigames, and instead of making separate mods for them, I've decided to put them into one single mod. That allows me to reuse my own assets, as well as allowing players to experience everything in one place!

How to enter a minigame?

  • You first need to make a world with the FoxyTriggerMinigames mod selected.
  • Then you need to /op self if you are in Adventure Mode and then write /inst or /instance and select, for example: FoxyTriggerMinigames / Minigames / Foxtrot

Minigames (list will be update as more Minigames come out):

BlockyBeats (new)

How to play it?

When you are inside the map, break the arrow blocks to select one of 3 available songs. Once one is selected, break the play button on the right and start the game. The goal is simple, break the upcoming glowing beats on time. The timing is valid once a beat (glowing square) starts to overlap with one of the arrows or all 4 of them (middle button).

What is BlockyBeats?

BlockyBeats is a 1 player rhythm game with the simple goal of beating one of, or all 3 beatmaps. (Scoring will be added after chapter 1 is released)

Foxtrot

How to play it?

Once you and your buddies enter the instance, you can all move onto the red platform and break the the green block. That will start a 10 second countdown, which upon its end will tp everyone to the middle of the game. You have around 5 seconds to get yourself ready.

The goal is to be the last one standing, but a draw scenario is also possible.

What is Foxtrot?

Foxtrot is a 2+ player minigame inspired by Hypixel's TNT Run, where, instead of the platform disappearing behind you, 2x2 platforms get updated to a new stage every time a player walks over them: green -> yellow -> red -> Empty.

But if platforms get updated only when players enter it's region, wouldn't they just be able to stand in one place and not move? Yes, valid concern, this is why I added timed events!

  • After 15 seconds there is a 60% chance, every 20-ish seconds, for wind to start pushing players in one of 4 directions. And after 100 seconds there is a 75% chance for that happen.
  • After 90 seconds, all floor tiles get updated to one stage lower, so all greens turn to yellow, yellows to reds and so on. This also happens after 180 seconds and 210 seconds.
