Shaft connections, unless special ones are added, always transfer the same amount of speed and direction There are 2 tiers of shafts available.

Wooden Shafts are meant to be a cheap and weak solution to transfer energy in early game or in very large and slow networks. Wooden tier is available in 8 wood types mostly based on Hardwood trunks.
