Required Items

1. Preferred food (press F Interact on animal for thought bubble popup, or see table below).
2. Animal Control Flute (post-tame linking and commands).
3. Basic enclosure setup with nearby water and food access.

Animal Taming Steps

1. Find a supported animal species.
2. Hold its preferred food (see table below)
3. Complete the tame interaction (default key is F).
4. You can press F on a tamed animal to quick-toggle simple modes (Follow, Hold, Idle).
5. Left-click with your Animal Control Flute to link it.

Livestock Taming and Food Preference Table

Once tamed, animals can be fed their preferred food or one of the crafted food options listed. Omnivorous animals have multiple feed options and will prioritize the first valid food item in the food trough.
