Flightmaster's Talisman

The Flightmaster's Talisman is a tool from Alec's Tamework. You must hold it to mount and fly a tamed Frost Dragon that you own.
Craft the Talisman
Craft the Flightmaster's Talisman at a Tier 6 Farming Bench using:
- 10 Gold Ingots
- 3 Zephyr gems
Crafting takes 4 seconds.
If HyDragon is installed, its Draconic Altar also offers this recipe.
Mount a Frost Dragon
- Tame and own a Frost Dragon.
- Put the Flightmaster's Talisman in your hotbar and select it.
- Hold crouch and press
F(Interact) on the Frost Dragon.
You cannot mount the Frost Dragon without the talisman selected. The game shows a notice if you try to crouch-interact without it.
Flight Controls
After you mount, keep the talisman selected.

| Hold crouch on the ground, then release | Charge and release a takeoff launch. A longer hold gives a stronger launch. |
| Move forward | Start or continue gliding. |
| Mouse look | Steer and change your climb or dive angle. |
| Left-click | Flap upward. It can also start flight. |
| Right-click | Airbrake. |
Q | Boost forward. It can also start flight. |
| Crouch while airborne | Move downward. |
F | Dismount immediately. |
Launches, flaps, and boosts use Vigour. Land and wait for Vigour to recover if these actions stop working.
Frost Dragon Abilities
The Frost Dragon adds two talisman abilities. In the default key layout, use E for Frost Bolt and R for Freezing Breath. These use Hytale's remappable Ability 2 and Ability 3 bindings, so the keys can differ if you changed your controls.
Flight Tips
- Start on open, level ground so you have room to launch.
- Dive to gain speed, then pull up to trade speed for height.
- Do not enter water while flying; custom flight ends and normal swimming starts.
- Do not switch away from the talisman during the ride. The flight system keeps it selected until you dismount.
