Follow these steps in order to make your first dragon companion:

1. At a Workbench, craft a Draconic Altar. See the Recipe Reference for the recipe.
2. Use the altar to craft the Dragon Command Flute. The Dragon Command Flute guide explains its roster.
3. Prepare a tranquilizer and a Draconic Stone for the creature you want to capture.
4. Find an eligible full dragon using Finding Dragons.
5. Tranquilize the dragon until it is ready to be captured.
6. Channel the Draconic Stone to complete the capture. See Capturing Dragons for the full process.
7. Use the flute roster to summon and manage your new companion.
